How to check if the DisplayLink KEXT is blocked If you are using the classic DisplayLink USB Graphics Software for macOS (version 5.x), you have to explicitly enable this system extension in the Security & Privacy system preference after installation before DisplayLink software is allowed to run. This article does not apply if you are using DisplayLink Manager 1.x and macOS Catalina (10.x), Big Sur (11.x) and Monterey (12.x) The new DisplayLink Manager Graphics Connectivity app (version 1.x) does not use KEXT.
